    I use thin rubberbands. Like many have said , most anything will work as long as you adhere to the concept.

    Honestly, it’s 99% as good to just take some 12-pound test about a 6-inch piece, and just tie a granny knot on your main line. Tie it three or four times then cut off the ends and presto you got a slip bobber knot. It will slide if you need it to, otherwise it stays in place.
